Frisbee Golf in Freezing Fields

"I won!"  Quote made by my friend Scott on my behalf.

It was a fun day of enjoying God's creation with nary a cloud in the sky.  We played at Blue Lake Park, which we found on this website:  http://www.oregondiscgolf.com/.  It was the first time either of us had played on the course and my first disc golf outing of the year.

The first thing we noticed when we got out of the car was that it is stinking cold in January.  As our hands were freezing, we went to the first whole and through our discs.  We actually started on the 8th whole since parking at the park was 5 dollars and we were cheap.  But, there was street parking near whole 8 so we started there.  The fairways are mostly fairly narrow, but there is fairly good area on both sides of the fairway where you can find your Frisbee without too much problem if you are willing to brave the thorns.

We played fairly steadily on the course, while talking about life, others and cold hands.  The Frisbee only went into the creak once, I won't tell you whose, and we got it out with the third stick that we tried so no lost Frisbees which is always nice.  We were able to finish before dark and I saw some cool Houses on the river on the way back.

Scott showed me an incredible view of Mount Hood.  I took a picture that I will try to add, when I can get the cable to connect my phone to my computer.  The picture might be a little blurry, but was the best I could do with my phone's camera on zoom.

All in all a good day and I am looking forward to more Disc Golf outings as a couple other friends left comments that they might want to play another time.

Psalm 19:
The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.  Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.  There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard.  Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their utterances to the end of the world.  In them He has placed a tent for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber.  It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.  Its rising is from one end of the heavens, and its circuit to the other end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

The law of the Lord is perfect restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.  The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.  The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening  the eyes.  The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.  They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.  Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Who can discern his errors?  Acquit me of hidden faults.  Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins,; let them not rule over me.  Then I will be blameless, and I shall be acquitted of great transgression.  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
