Two for the Price of One

I love meeting with Christians and brainstorming.  Today, I got to have three separate meetings with Godly Christ Followers.  What a blessed day it was.

First I met with Jonathan, who is on staff with Focus.  We talked about discipleship and how it could look in the Focus Ministry that is such a vibrant ministry of Christians from many different Churches and staff who are from a variety of mission organizations.  It is a blessing and a good picture of how the Church's mission does and should play out.  We discussed how to make a systemic discipleship format for this current ministry.  Nothing was decided, but it was a blessing to be able to begin the conversation and consider possibilities.

Next I met with my Pastors Josh and Tim and was able to express a little bit about my current idea for a business.  It was a blessing to hear Josh's heart and words of counsel and warning.  The time sharpened my focus and enlightened me to the idea of patience and to waiting on God's timing and blessing before going forward.  It is easy in life to rush ahead and forget God's direction and leading when we consider plans.  It is easy to proceed without prayer, but I was reminded today of the need to seek God in this venture rather than to just rush ahead.  Thanks Josh and Tim if you read this.

The last meeting of the day was with Laki and Amber and we discussed the creative aspect of the endeavor that I feel God leading me too.  It was awesome to be able to share my ideas, my heart, and the potential vision that God has given me as well as to listen to two Godly, Christ-Focused friends bring their perspectives and expertise to the ideas that were shared.  Their insights and counsel were very insightful and thought provoking and completely changed some of my thinking while making the ideas more clear.

Through these conversations, I believe that God has lain on my heart a vision for two distinct opportunities.  I ask for prayer that God would direct me in which to focus on first, whether to focus on both, and if I don't focus on both, who to pass the torch to so someone else can run with the idea.

Your prayers and comments will be appreciated.
